Mrs. Cindy Schilling has been teaching for 29 years for Kanawha County Schools, after earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from West Virginia State College. She began teaching in 1994 at Chelyan Elementary, teaching kindergarten. She then taught kindergarten, fourth, and then fifth grade at Midland Trail Elementary. During that time, she earned her Master's Degree in Diagnosing Reading Difficulties and a second Master's Degree in School Administration. In 2015, she was hired as Principal of Marmet Elementary, where she remained until accepting the Principal's position in 2023 at Mary Ingles Elementary.
She lives in Chelyan, with her husband, Scott. She has three daughters and a baby grandson
